Telethon ‘Jump Start a Life’ benefiting Derek Johnston’s fight against cancer

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A local charity called Jump Start A Life is putting on a 12 hour telethon and live auction on March 16th.

The telethon will be an effort to raise as much money as possible for this years recipient, Derek Johnston.

Derek Johnston has stage 4 kidney cancer and he was hospitalized in March of 2018.

Jump Start A Life, is a charity organization made up of filmmakers, Theater people, Actors, Musicians, Chefs, Artists, and Crew who are all coming together to help a fellow artist in need.
