Temperatures soar ahead of weekend warmup

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Weather in San Diego remained clear and warm Wednesday with even warmer temperatures on the way. 

Temperatures Thursday will reach the mid 70s along the coast and could hit the low 80s in some places inland. The mountains will reach the upper 60s while the desert will hover around the 80s.

Winds could also pick up as a high pressure system moves into California.

Once again, however, a rainstorm could counter the warming trend after the weekend. After a Sunday cooldown around the county, chances sit at 20% that it could rain on Monday and Tuesday.

Thanksgiving could also be affected by rain and cooler temperatures.
