The Kid’s College to present ‘Making Musical History in San Marcos’
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The Kid’s College in partnership with San Marcos Unified School District presents: Fortissimo Orchestra Program: “Making Musical History in San Marcos,” on March 1.
The event will take place at 3:00 p.m. In Heritage Park.
The program teaches string instruments to children who would otherwise not have the opportunity to learn.
The Fortissimo program is based on the very successful and very transformative Venezuelan program known as El Sistema.
This program has demonstrated that kids who are actively engaged in music perform better in every other area of their lives. This program is lead by Carole Beeson, founder of The Kid’s College.
“It has been my vision to create this powerful opportunity for our North County students. It turns out that children who learn to play music are better equipped to study, to think critically, to persist in their endeavors, and to concentrate on solving problems. I look forward to the day that we will be able to offer the Fortissimo Program to all the students in our region,” said Carole Beeson, founder of The Kid’s College.
Tickets are $20 and are available at the door or at www.thekidscollege.org.
