The latest on the recall election with Tom Del Beccaro

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – California’s recall Newsom election takes place Sept. 14 and Chairman of Rescue California, Tom Del Beccaro, joined KUSI’s Jason Austell on Good Morning San Diego to discuss how the election is progressing.

A total of 46 candidates are now on the official recall election ballot.

Del Beccaro brought to light Gov. Newsom’s slashing of the wildfire prevention budget, contrary to the governor’s own words, and overstated his accomplishments.

The Resnicks, one of Gov. Newsom’s biggest donors, own The Wonderful Company, which grows pistachios in the Central Valley, makes many other products — and uses more water than both Los Angeles and San Francisco combined, said Del Beccaro.

Meanwhile, the governor doesn’t’ save enough water with reservoirs for a non-rainy day, added Del Beccaro.

Overall, there are plenty of reasons to recall Gov. Newsom, Del Beccaro concluded.
