The Red Nose Run raises funds for two local nonprofits

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Join Santa, his reindeer and his elves at the Red Nose Run next Saturday in Del Mar.

Entering its 28th year, the Red Nose Run has become famous for its on-the-beach fun run, holiday costumes and after run celebrations. The holiday run also raises funds for two nonprofits: Fresh Start Surgical Gifts and Semper Fi Fund.

Race Director Anthony Valentino and Community Outreach Coordinator Monica Valentino were in studio to tell us more about it.

28th annual Red Nose Run:

  • Dec. 7, 11:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Del Mar Powerhouse Community Center
  • Adults: $45, Youth: $25
