The Rock Church’s 23rd annual Toys for Joy continues to help San Diego’s families in need

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Over the past 22 years, Toys for Joy has served over 166,900 children and their families. Every year there are thousands of parents in the San Diego community who struggle to provide a Christmas for their children.

The Rock Church, known for its service to the community, annually gives out 22,000 toys and nearly 80,000 pounds of food to our San Diego families working hard to make ends meet every day

This year is no exception. They expect to touch the lives of more than 21,000 children and their families this year at four different sites throughout San Diego County.

Toys for Joy is part of the Rock Church’s community outreach campaign. Pastor Miles McPherson started the campaign to bring people together and take action to directly transform the lives of the people and City of San Diego

KUSI’s Allie Wagner was live at The Rock Church on Good Morning San Diego with all the details!

Last year, they were able to provide over 17,000 toys; 7,000 groceries; and 191,200 articles of clothing from donations and partnerships.
