The San Diego Black Film Festival kicks off this week

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The San Diego Black Film Festival is starting this Wednesday, January 29th and runs through February 2nd.

Established in 2002 and held each year during the last week of January, the San Diego Black Film Festival has grown to become one of the largest black film festivals in the country.

The festival screens over 100 films each year including Comedy, Drama, Animation and much more!

Each year the San Diego Black Film Festival premieres a large percentage of the independent black films that will prove successful throughout the year.
