The San Diego Symphony announces official name and 2020 lineup for new permanent waterfront venue

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The San Diego Symphony announced the official name and inaugural season lineup for its new permanent outdoor venue, The Shell, located at Embarcadero Marina Park South.

The name The Shell was chosen to reflect the venue’s marine setting and iconic shape. The venue will be an acoustically superior and architecturally captivating structure within a newly upgraded public park.

The Shell opens with a star-studded three-day Inaugural Weekend celebration on July 10th. The 2020 season lineup features the Symphony, Jennifer Hudson with the San Diego Symphony, Smokey Robinson, The Beach Boys, movies in concert, and many more!
