Theater Previews – 2/27/20
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Our very own Theater Guru, Joey Landwehr stopped by this morning for this week’s Theater Preview!
KEVIN NEALON: AN EVENING OF STAND-UP COMEDY
San Diego Center for Jewish Culture (UTC Area)
February 29 (ONE NIGHT ONLY!)
As one of the longest-running cast members on NBC’s Saturday Night Live (1986-1995), Kevin Nealon created some of the show’s most memorable characters, including ‘The Subliminal Man’ and ‘Hans and Franz.’ Nealon’s recurring role as an anchor on ‘Weekend Update’ helped make the sketch a show staple. Nealon sets himself apart from other comedic performers with his unique sense of humor, dry wit and likeable demeanor.
He has received critical acclaim for his role in the Showtime series, Weeds, and is currently seen as one of the stars on the CBS-TV comedy series Man With A Plan.

THE OUTSIDER is a razor-sharp, hilarious satire of modern American politics and an inspirational tribute to democracy. Overflowing with clever plot twists portraying the contemporary political climate, Paul Slade Smith’s play is a fun-house mirror, held up to reflect our often confounding governmental system. If you’re overwhelmed by today’s headlines, this thoroughly non-partisan laugh-fest is just what you need.
Directed by NCRT Artistic Director David Ellenstein.
