Theatre Box grand opening in the Gaslamp Quarter

SAN DIEGO (KUSI)- The grand opening of Theatre Box, the new luxury theater, dining and entertainment center in the Gaslamp Quarter, opened tonight. Formerly known as the Reading Cinema after renovation it was renamed Theatre Box.

The new facility is a partner with a world famous theater in Hollywood. Guests were greeted by a towering 45 foot tall entryway which included a replica of the iconic hand print ad footprint from the Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

Treats can be purchased from the Sugar Factory before enjoying a movie in reclining seats.

During tonight’s ribbon cutting, Grammy award winning rapper Pitbull was the first to be honored with the longstanding Hollywood hand print tradition.
