They’ve Waited Long Enough!

Wednesday, February 8, 2012 – Some unhappy park users called KUSI's Michael Turko when they got left in the dark for months. Turko says outdoor lights at their community park have been out of order since last September.

The park department says the problem here is not maintenance it's outright theft. They say thieves have stolen more than half a mile of copper wire from several city parks in outlying northern suburbs. That's left a big chunk of one park blacked out for five months now the city says they're working on it but neighbors say they've waited long enough!
