Third victim in Encinitas cliff collapse identified
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The three victims killed in the Encinitas bluff collapse have been identified as members of the same family.
Officials said yesterday that 65-year-old Julie Davis and 35-year-old Anne Clave, a mother and daughter, died in the cliff collapse. The third victim has been identified as Elizabeth Cox, Davis’ sister.
The three women died yesterday and two others were injured after the cliffs above them collapsed.
The area has since been reopened to the public, and a memorial has been set up for the community to pay their respects to the family.
