Thousands of North County utility customers left without power

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — A power outage left more than 2,000 North County utility customers in the dark Thursday morning.

The outage struck just after 3 a.m. and was affecting customers in northern Vista, western San Marcos and Buena, according to San Diego Gas & Electric.

Utility officials said crews were working to determine what caused the outage.

Power was fully restored as of 7:30 a.m.
