Three Coast Guard Officers court martialed

Three Coast Guard officers will stand trial for a boat crash that killed an 8-year-old boy. Anthony Deweese died last December when a Coast Guard vessel crashed into his family's boat during the “parade of lights” on the San Diego Bay.

The Coast Guard ordered the officers to be court-martialed after reviewing a report stating there was no legal justification for the crash.

Petty Officer Paul Ramos faces multiple charges including involuntary manslaughter, and Petty Officers Ian Howell and Brittany Rasmussen face negligent homicide.
