Thrifty Thursday: Getting organized with The San Diego Salvation Army
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The Salvation Army is giving advice on how to get organized.
• STEP 1 – Sort (Keep, Donate piles)
• STEP 2 – Assign Home (Containers/Organize tips)
• STEP 3 – Maintain (On-going donation box)
People who are overwhelmed don’t have to tackle organizing everything themselves. There are professional organizers to help which can be found on the NAPO San Diego online directory.
In order to get clutter removed from homes people can donate you can call 1-800-SATRUCK or go to the website www.SATRUCK.org. The Salvation Army will come and haul it away for free.
Also people don’t need to send clothes that are missing a button or ripped to the landfill. The Salvation Army said they have a recycling program for textiles too.
