Thunderstorms and scattered showers in Tuesday’s forecast

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A storm system that made its way from the northwest into San Diego Monday night brought rain overnight in most parts of the county.

The rain lightened up through the night and lingered as spotty showers around the county Tuesday morning.

But unstable air throughout the day could bring thunderstorms and more scattered showers and even heavy downpours in parts of the county. Hail is also possible with the lingering system in the mountain areas.

Beginning at 10 a.m, a high wind advisory will be in affect for the mountain areas as well, lasting until 3 a.m. Wednesday morning as the storm continues to move east.
