Toddler found wandering on street in Ocean Beach
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A toddler found wandering in an Ocean Beach roadway
was taken to an emergency children's shelter while officers searched for her
parent, a police officer said Friday.
The little girl in a blue dress was spotted about 11 p.m. Thursday in
the middle of Pescadero Avenue near Sunset Cliffs Boulevard, San Diego police
Officer Frank Cali said.
Responding officers checked the area for the toddler's parents, but were
not immediately able to find them, so the girl was taken to the Polinsky
Children's Center in Kearny Mesa, Cali said.
Around 2:30 a.m. the girl's mother called police to report her missing,
Cali said.
As of about 5 a.m., the toddler remained in the care of the Polinsky
Children's Center, Cali said.
