Torrey Pines High School Dance team celebrates first place at West Coast Elite Dance Nationals

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Torrey Pines High School dancers were champions at the West Coast Elite Dance Nationals. Hundreds of dancers from dozens of schools throughout Southern California competed in numerous categories during the two-day contest at Long Beach Convention Center.

Other top finishes by Torrey Pines dancers included: a second-place in Medium Co-Ed Hip Hop; third place in Large Female Hip Hop; third place for a contemporary improve solo performed by Nanea Yu; fourth place in the Medium Lyrical category and fifth place for Large Co-Ed Hip Hop.
