Trash truck overturns on North County freeway

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A big rig hauling trash overturned on a rain-slicked North County road early Wednesday, spewing its load across the roadway and causing traffic delays for morning commuters, authorities said.

The crash involving an EDCO truck occurred at Interstate 15 and state Route 76 just before 5 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued a SigAlert that remained in effect as of 8 a.m.

No one was injured, the CHP reported.
