Tri-City Medical North County Game of the Week: Ramona Bulldogs 41, San Pasqual Eagles 7

PREVIEW: It was just three years ago that the San Pasqual and Ramona staff were working together to beat the South squad in the Spanos All-Star Classic.

On Friday night they will go toe-to-toe in the Tri-City Medical North County Game of the Week. Ramona comes in with two solid wins over Point Loma and defending San Diego Division II CIF Champion Mater Dei Catholic. Friday they go on the road for the 1st time this season to face the San Pasqual Fighting Eagles.

The Fighting Eagles are lead by Week 2 PPR Play of the Week Winner Westin Erdman, who does more than run the triple option he has a arm to boot. The Fighting Eagles feature several layers that have helped them average 30 points a game including Senior fullback Saud Carrillo (sr), HBs and Senior halfback Brett Sayers and Shawn Carter who is a junior. And there is not a high school team in the nation that scores 30 points a game that can’t do it without an offensive line. As always the line is athletic lead by Center John Del Mastro and LG Connor Contreras.

Ramona is 2-0 for a reason, their former underclassmen are now seniors. "Experience and Maturity takes over", says Head Coach Damon Baldwin. "The group is able to play the game with confidence."

The Bulldogs light up the scoreboard thanks to a great offensive line which is highlighted by Center Jacob McElwee. That is what helps make do-it-all guy Tristan Stacy a household name on PPR. The senior RB/WR/DB/PR has an impact in all three phases of the Bulldogs game.
Ramona also features one of the best arms in the North County in QB Casey Buggelin.

Defensively Defensive Back Christian Gabriel brings a toughness to this team that has only given up 21 points in 2 games in 2017.

Highlights of this game and 28 more will be on the Emmy Award winning "Prep Pigskin Report" on Friday night at 10:30 PM only on KUSI-TV, you can also stream it live on KUSI.com. Make sure to follow us on all of our social media channels KUSIPPR on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
