Trolley fight ends with one stabbed, another jailed

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A fight between two women on a trolley Friday ended with one in the hospital and the other behind bars.

Juliette Jackson, 53, and an around 40-year-old woman, whose name was not released, began fighting while riding the trolley in the 1500 block of California Street near West G Street around 2:45 p.m., San Diego police Sgt. Ray Battrick said.

Jackson was punched, and responded by pulling a knife and threatening to stab her assailant, Battrick said. The pair continued to tussle and Jackson allegedly stabbed the other woman in her right arm.

Both women were contacted by police as they arrived at the Old Town trolley station on Taylor Street. The wounded woman was taken to a hospital and Jackson was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Battrick said.
