Tuesday is deadline for mail ballot requests

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Tuesday is the deadline for requesting mail ballots from
the county of San Diego Registrar of Voters office for the June 5 election.

Applications must be received by the office by 5 p.m. — they can't
simply be postmarked with Tuesday's date.

Prospective voters who want a mail ballot can fill out an application,
which can be found on the back of their sample ballot and voter information
pamphlet, or on the Registrar of Voters' website at sdvote.com.

A letter with the voter's name, registered address, name and date of the
election, the address where the ballot is to be mailed, and the voter's
signature can be faxed to the Registrar at (858) 694-2955.

The Registrar's office is also open for voting in person at 5201 Ruffin
Road, Suite I.

As of late last week, 755,946 vote-by-mail ballots were sent and 113,765
had been returned, according to the Registrar.
