KUSI's Michael Turko continues his investigation of SDG&E's request to bill customers for their uninsured wildfire damages. Turko says he's uncovered evidence of a dozen private meetings between power company officials and Public Utility Commissioners and their staff.

When a utility makes a filing with the Public Utilities Commission, the commission assigns a commissioner to handle the case. That commissioner acts as a judge over all related proceedings. In almost any other court situation, private meetings with the judge are prohibited. But when you're talking public utility issues, my investigation shows almost anything goes!
