Two arrested following car chase

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Authorities arrested two suspects following a pursuit that ended when the getaway vehicle crashed off State Route 94 near Interstate 805 and plunged down an embankment Wednesday.

The wreck in the Webster area of San Diego occurred about 11:45 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. No injuries were reported.

The suspects may have been involved in a burglary at a Wal-Mart store, CHP public-affairs Officer Tommy Doerr said. The suspects were being pursued by National City police.

The far right westbound freeway lane was blocked into the early afternoon.
