Two hospitalized after stabbing near Cherokee Point, police search for suspects
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Two men were stabbed Friday night during an argument with four other men on a street in the Cherokee Point area.
According to San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims, the assault took place about 9:20 p.m. outside 3900 Polk Ave.
Witnesses told police two men were walking on Polk Avenue when they encountered a group of four men. The two men got into some kind of argument with the group which led to the stabbing, according to Heims.
One of the men was stabbed in the chest and the other man was stabbed twice in the left side of his abdomen, Heims said.
The two victims were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The four suspects fled the scene on foot, according to Heims.
One suspect was described as being 17 or 18 years old, with black hair and medium complexion. He was last seen as wearing a long sleeve shirt and blue jeans.
