Two men shot, one killed in Skyline neighborhood

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — A man killed in a shooting near his home in the Skyline area Tuesday night and his friend who was wounded were publicly identified Wednesday.

Two men walked up to 18-year-old Gregory Davis, and 25-yea-old Avery Ealy around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday and opened fire on them near the intersection of 61st and Alderly streets, San Diego police Lt. Manny Del Toro said.

Davis and Ealy were driven to a San Diego hospital where Davis later died from bullet wounds to the upper body. Ealy suffered a bullet wound to the leg, not considered to be life-threatening, Del Toro said.

Del Toro described the two unidentified men as thin young men, between the ages of 19 and 21. One was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and the other was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The two men were last seen heading east on Alderley St.
