SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A collision in the Navajo section of San Diego sent at least two people to hospitals Monday.

A van and a SUV collided about 3:30 p.m. near Park Ridge Boulevard and Navajo Road, Lee Swanson of the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said.

One of the vehicles rolled onto its side, and firefighters freed one person trapped in the wreckage, Swanson said. That person was taken to a hospital, and a second ambulance was called for other patients, he said.
