Two San Diego-based defense contractors awarded three-year contracts worth $26 million
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Two San Diego-based defense contractors today were awarded three-year contracts by the Navy worth more than $26 million each to provide and give support for specialized intranet networks.
Science Applications International Corp. was awarded a $26.7 million contract for the systems, which will be used on ships and ashore. Computer Sciences Corp. won a $26.2 million contract.
The contracts include two one-year options which, if exercised, would bring the total amount of the deals to more than $44 million, according to the Defense Department. Also, the two firms will compete for individual tasks within the scope of the contract.
The contracts were awarded by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in San Diego.
