Two sent to hospital after rollover crash in Mission Valley

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A rollover crash on a Mission Valley freeway connector Monday night tied up traffic and sent two people to a hospital.

Up to three vehicles were involved in the crash on the transition from southbound Interstate 805 to westbound Interstate 8 around 6:20 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. A caller told CHP officials one of the drivers was attempting to pass another en route to the exit.

One of the vehicles overturned, the CHP said.

Two people were taken to hospitals following the crash, a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department dispatcher said.

The crash was blocking one lane on the connector and a SigAlert was issued, the CHP said.
