Type 1 diabetic ultrarunner runs across America

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – One man is planning on running 2,830 miles from Newport Beach, CA to Florida Space Coast in less than 100 days.

Don Munchow hopes to be the fastest one to complete a Type 1 Diabetic Transcontinental crossing and to complete the first ever solo run by anyone from Disneyland to Disney World.

Munchow plans on running across America starting February 1st with the support of his wife following along in their support van.
