UCSD Health part of national initiative to improve senior patient care

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Older adults are living longer, working longer and staying active longer, but older patients’ healthcare can be complicated.

UC San Diego Health is the first health care system in San Diego to join the national Age-Friendly Health Systems initiative, which is an evidence-based approach to provide high quality of care to seniors.

Dr. Alison Moore, MPH, chief of the Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology at UCSD Health, and Dr. Khai Nguyen, clinical services chief of senior medicine at UCSD Health, were in studio to tell us about it.
