Unclaimed lottery ticket bought on naval base

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A Mega Millions ticket worth nearly $171,000 and sold
on Naval Base San Diego about four months ago remained unclaimed Tuesday,
California Lottery officials said.

The ticket, sold at the Escape Snack Bar, matched five of six wining
numbers in the Sept. 14 drawing for a prize of $170,827. The ticket matched
numbers 16, 17, 21, 40 and 51 but missed the Mega number, 20.

California Lottery officials said players who work on the base or live
nearby should look for the ticket or risk losing out on the cash. The ticket
holder had 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the winnings, which
means the ticket will expire at the close of business March 13 and the
unclaimed funds will be transferred to California schools.

Past and current draw results can be obtained by calling (800) 568-8379,
or online at calottery.com.
