Understanding social trends and addiction treatment

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The Betty Ford Center of San Diego, part of the national nonprofit addiction treatment provider Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, and the San Diego Society of Addiction Professionals (SOAP) are hosting a “Social Trends and Addiction Treatment” event.

The event is Wednesday, May 8, at 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m at the Bahia Resort Hotel.

The event will also address how professionals and parents can be proactive as well as how we can all address the stigma of addiction and create a message of hope and recovery, according to Certified Prevention Professional Jessica Wong.
