Unplugged Village hosts Tech Break Tuesday at Fourpenny House in La Mesa

With technology so present in our everyday lives, it can be nice to take a break and put down our phones. That’s why Unplugged Village is hosts weekly Tech Break Tuesdays.

Lauren Phinney sat down in studio with Claudia Erickson, Founder of Unplugged Village, and Peter Soutowood from Fourpenny House to talk about this week’s Tech Break Tuesday.

Prior to starting the Unplugged Village, Claudia earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Masters in Public Health from San Diego State University. She has worked in the area of Maternal and Child Health for many years. Holding positions with local hospitals (Rady Children’s and Scripps Memorial), the California Distance Learning Health Network, the San Diego Police Foundation and most recently with the San Diego Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Fourpenny House is a cozy Scottish pub located in the heart of the La Mesa Village.  Fourpenny has no TV screens (exception – a screen for Sunday soccer games traditional Pub style of course!), and includes a community table and basket of table games. Fourpenny specializes in a rotating seasonal menu, bread, in-house beer and spirits.
