USD confirms retirement of Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate director
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – The University of San Diego confirmed Friday that Mark Riedy will retire as executive director of the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate in January.
Riedy started the school’s real estate program 21 years ago. His pending departure was first reported earlier on Wednesday.
“Programs and services developed under Riedy’s leadership consistently are of the highest quality and create terrific academic and career opportunities for USD students,” School of Business Administration dean David Pyke said.
The Burnham-Moores Center, which was endowed in 2004, also hosts major annual industry events attended by hundreds of real estate and finance professionals
“Industry support that Riedy has garnered since 1993, testifies to his understanding of the industry’s needs, his relationship-building skills and his leadership and ability to communicate a vision and turn it into reality,” Pyke said.
A search committee composed of business school administrators, Burnham-Moores Center faculty and executive committee leaders plans to hire a successor before the end of the year.
