USD professor Alan Gin discusses Dow drop
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell more than 800 points today after the 10-year treasury bond yield fell below 1.6 percent this morning.
It marked the first time since 2007 that 10-year bond yields fell below two-year yields.
Some experts believe the yield curve inversion indicates a possible recession. U.S. stocks fell as investors sold stock in companies and moved it into bonds.
University of San Diego economics professor Alan Gin was at KUSI to talk about it.
