Valhalla 42, Francis Parker 13
The Francis Parker Lancers (3-1) hosted the Valhalla Norsemen (1-2) tonight.
The Norsemen coming off of a bye week looked polished and strong coming into this match. They came out tonight with a huge win against the Lancers. The final score of the night: 42-13 Valhalla.
In the first quarter, Francis Parker came out strong with a Kahleel Jenkins 65 yard touchdown run putting the Lancers up in the first quarter 6-0. Valhalla did not let this impressive run bring their spirits down, they responded immediately as Jerome Johnson found the end zone with an 11 yard touchdown run leading the Norsemen 7-6.
In the second, Valhalla QB Phillip Nasseh passed the ball to Julius Frazier who goes 40 yards, which leads to another Johnson touchdown for 10 yards. That put the Norsemen up 21-13 at at the end of the 2nd. The second quarter hurt the Lancers after their running back, Jordan Genmark-Heath came out of the game with a dislocated shoulder.
In the third, Norsemen charged up and down the field picking up two more touchdowns; once again a Johnson 5 yard touchdown and what seemed to be a 27 yard field goal attempt turned into a fake -the Norsemen on 4th & 1, had some tricks up their sleeves and faked the field goal which turned into a Logan Baker 27 yard touchdown run! Norsemen still up 35-13. Just to end things on an even better note, Rahshaun Sharpe breaks through the defense and takes off to complete an 85 yard touchdown run. That ended the night as the 4th quarter drew to close on a running clock.
Valhalla (2-2) will face West Hills next week. Francis Parker (3-2) will look ahead and prepare to face Morse.
