Van hits and injures 64-year-old woman

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A van hit and seriously injured a 64-year-old woman on an Oak Park street Thursday, authorities reported.

The pedestrian was trying to cross Euclid Avenue mid-block, near Federal Boulevard, when the 2003 Ford Econoline struck her shortly before 11:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.

Medics took her to a hospital for treatment of fractures to her spine and pelvic area, SDPD Officer Frank Cali said.
