Victim in Del Cerro hotel shooting called police herself

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A woman was wounded in a shooting Friday morning in the Del Cerro area.

The victim called for help from the Rodeway Inn on Adobe Falls Road near Waring Road around 6:15 a.m. and told authorities she had been shot, San Diego police Officer Frank Cali said.

She was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital to be treated, a San Diego Fire- Rescue Department dispatcher said.

A suspect description was not immediately available, but the hotel manager told police a red vehicle was seen leaving the area, Cali said.
