The Village Church’s, “Faith and Work” Initiative

The idea of a “separation between church and state” has deep roots in American culture – But a local church has launched a campaign to show young professionals how religious faith can play an important and valuable role in the workplace.

Inspired by members of its congregation who are prominent business and community leaders, The Village Church in Rancho Santa Fe launched a unique “Faith and Work” initiative. It includes a monthly video series featuring a different church member sharing how they have integrated their faith to enhance their careers, as well as student mentoring events and special panel discussion forums.

Business leaders involved in the program include Bill and Susan Hoehn of the Hoehn Motors car dealership; documentary film producer Dane Smith (“The Dropbox,” “Emmanuel”); surgeon Dr. Hugh Greenway; and retired Superior Court Judge Susan Huguenor.

The church’s associate pastor Neal Presa and program participant Dr. Hugh Greenway spoke more about this special initiative on Good Morning San Diego.
