Vista bank robbed

VISTA (CNS) – A bearded man who claimed to have a pistol robbed a Vista bank Wednesday.

The robber handed a demand note to a teller at the Chase branch in the 1600 block of South Melrose Drive about 9:15 a.m., according to the FBI.

Though he claimed in the written message to have a gun, none was seen, an FBI sp-okesperson said.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the robber walked out of the bank and headed south.
