Vista home invasion suspect sketch released

VISTA (CNS) – A composite sketch of a Vista home invasion suspect was
made public Wednesday in the hope someone would recognize him.

Around 2 a.m. Sunday, the thin, 20-something Hispanic man approached a
woman from behind as she opened her apartment door near the 1400 block of
Bonair Road and held what she believed to be a gun to her head, forcing her
inside, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Once inside, the man tried to blindfold her but eventually fled as she
fought back, deputies said.

The suspect was described as being as tall as 6 feet and 130-140
pounds, with short, combed back black hair, brown eyes and a medium brown
complexion.

Anyone with more information was asked to call the Vista sheriff's
station at (760) 940-4551 or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
Information that leads to an arrest could be worth a Crime Stoppers reward of
up to $1,000.
