Vista house burns while owner away
VISTA (CNS) – Firefighters battled a house fire in Vista early Wednesday, authorities said.
The noninjury blaze at 1836 Goodwin Drive was reported at 3:10 a.m., according to a North County Fire Protection District dispatcher. By 3:40 a.m., crews had gained the upper hand, she said.
The lone resident of the home was out-of-town, San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Mike Munsey said.
The cause was under investigation and a damage estimate was pending.
