Vista motorcycle crash seriously injures rider

VISTA (CNS) – An investigation was under way Tuesday into a motorcycle crash in Vista that sent a 31-year-old man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

The man crashed his motorcycle as he was exiting Highway 78 at North Emerald Drive about 8:40 p.m. Monday, according to San Diego County sheriff’s Deputy Kenneth Werner. No other vehicles were involved.

Paramedics took the man to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido with “serious, life-threatening injuries,” Werner said in a statement.
