Tuesday, January 22, 2013 – When KUSI's Michael Turko first opened this file five and a half years ago, homeowners were being told they'd have to pay to clean up an abandoned trash dump. Turko says that's no longer the case but a government clean-up project could cost one family their home. The cleanup will cost $400,000. Half of that will be covered by a grant from the California Recycling Agency. The city of Escondido will pay the rest.
