‘Walk for Wildlife, Run for Refugees 5K’ seeks to support Afghan refugees and marine wildlife

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Looking for a cause to support both Afghan refugees and wildlife affected by the recent massive oil spill in Huntington Beach? This organization has just the thing.

One Digital World and Miss Alaska Earth will be holding a “Walk for Wildlife Run for Refugees 5K” on Nov. 6 at 9 a.m. from San Diego’s Embarcadero to the Spanish Landing Trail.

Registration for the event is $30 and proceeds from the event will go towards One Digital World and the Pacific Marine Mammal Center.

One Digital World specializes in empowering refugees and asylum seekers worldwide by connecting them with education and equipment to allow them to integrate and become self-reliant in a new culture and country.
