Walmart fights back against City Council

Last week, the San Diego City Council overrode Mayor Jerry Sander's veto to prohibit Walmart superstores from being built in the city. But Walmart is fighting back by collecting signatures to give San Diego residents their own choice. They have 30 days to get 31-thousand signatures, if they get the signatures they need  the City Council will have two options: to repeal the ordinance or hold a special election.
Walmart supporters say this is about choice, cheaper prices, and jobs.

Joining KUSI's Dan Plante on Good Morning San Diego was Andrew Poat, Vice President for Policy, San Diego Regional Economic Development Corp. to talk more about this heated Walmart debate and what how it effects San Diegans, one way or another.
