Warm temperatures continue but a cooldown is on the way

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — After a hot and dry weekend, temperatures are comfortable and warm Monday but a cooldown is on the way.

Conditions are expected to be very hot for the mountains and deserts, but still pleasant and mostly sunny. West of the mountains will experience slightly cooler conditions but temperatures will still be warm.

Onshore flow will continue to increase throughout the day. Some clouds will cover the coastal areas until mid-morning. Onshore flow is also increasing winds along the coast.

Cooler temperatures are ahead though as the marine layer deepens and onshore flow increases.

Monday’s high temperatures are expected to be 78 degrees along the coast, 85 degrees inland, 70 degrees in the mountains and 95 degrees for the deserts.
