Temperatures warm, but still below average in San Diego County

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Temperatures will be a few degrees higher Monday across San Diego County, but still cooler than average for this time of year.

Despite the slightly warmer weather, temperatures will still be cool and fall-like. Inland valleys are expected to warm up the most. Then on Tuesday and Wednesday, slightly cooler weather is expected before much cooler weather sets in at the end of the week.

An extensive marine layer will cover the coast Monday morning, with some clouds and patchy fog extending inland in the morning and evenings.

High temperatures Monday are expected to be 72 to 77 degrees at the beaches and inland, 76 to 81 in the western valleys and near the foothills, 76 to 84 in the mountains and 93 to 98 in the deserts.
