Warrant against Trump has “nothing to do with classified documents,” said Attorney Johnson

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Former President Donald Trump claims that the documents found at his Mar-a-Lago home during an FBI search had been declassified during his presidency.

KUSI’s Elizabeth Alvarez was joined by Attorney Knut S. Johnson to discuss the charges being held against Trump. POTUS does have the authority to classify and declassify documents, said Johnson, but this is beside the point.

“The crimes they say they’re searching for have nothing to do with classified documents,” said the attorney, “except tangentially.”
